Happy to announace completion of Empower to Care program


Aaji Care-at-Home Service, a social enterprise is happy to announce completion of its 3rd batch of Home Care Assistant in collaboration with Vatsalya Trust located in Kanjurmarg.  This training was run under program called Empower to Care (E2C) and got completed on 2nd April 2013. Aaji Care provides non-medical home care services for seniors, patients, and kids.

After good response from first two batch of Care Assistants to meet growing Family Care demand we just completed training of Care Assistants which mainly involves women along with few men from low income background. This training will enable company to provide excellent care and at the same time provide respect and dignity to this work force.

This one month training was headed by nursing professor Saroj Shinde (32 years of experience) and company Care Manager/psychotherapist Dr Ajay Pillai. We had number of guest lecturer which includes Dr. Shubhangi Datar from IPH Institute, Thane, Puneet Srivastav who is writer and start-up soldier and Mr Cecil from MBA foundation, Powai. We also had one volunteer L. Sneha Ravli from IIT Engineering college, Mumbai who was helping us to teach basic English to our Care Assistant.

As a gesture of social commitment to contribute and help, Aaji Care also has been training few members from MBA Foundation, Powai which works in the area of the disability by providing them day and life care facility across 4 centers in Mumbai.

Training concluded with certificate, uniform distribution by Trustee of Vatsalya trust Mr Saraf.
